Kharkiv, Ukraine's second city, is left without power following Russian attacks

In Kryvyi Rih's central city, two persons were killed when a missile struck a residential building.

After the most recent wave of Russian airstrikes targeted energy stations all over the nation, Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city, is now without electricity.
As many as nine power plants may have been targeted, according to officials, as 76 missiles and drone assaults were launched across Ukraine by Russian forces.

The mayor of Kharkiv claimed that the barrage caused "colossal" damage to the city.

Anastaisa, a local, told the BBC that she heard multiple explosions as the strikes got underway on Friday morning.

The mother of a two-month-old baby said that the lights "began blinking in a matter of minutes." "We lost electricity in less than 10 seconds, after which everything simply became still. Technically, we currently have a city without power and water supplies because the pumping stations cannot function while there is no power in the city."

According to Yuriy Sak, a defense ministry adviser, while emergency personnel were trying to restore electricity supply, the situation was "still challenging." Repairing the damage is becoming more challenging due to Russia's regular attacks.
